Belgian firefighters hose down police in protest against the Beligan governments attacks on retirement.
Rank
and File electricians have been protesting for 6 months against 7
construction companies lead by Balfour Beaty. These companies want to
impose a 35% paycut, attack their working conditions and challenge their
legal right to strike. On Wednesday 15th February, the bosses of these
companies met for the Electrical Contractors Association Annual Dinner
at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London...
UPDATE
- Friday 17th February - Balfour Beaty has dropped its plans to impose
the BENSA agreement. This demonstrates what power workers taking action
have! Now the fight must continue to force the other 6 companies to also
drop it. A full report can be found here.
